Located in Sugar Land, Texas - Schlumberger has an opening for an experienced Electrical CAD Designer. In this position, you may prepare and maintain complex engineering product files for printed wiring boards (PWB), multi-chip modules (MCM), harnesses, and custom electrical parts per ANSI and company standards while accurately considering the methods of manufacture, tolerance, and their effect on related parts. The successful candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with peers, vendors, and other employees.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

• HS Diploma

• A.A./B.S. Preferred

• 10+ years PWB CAD design experience

o Schematic capture, layout & assembly documentation

o Conventional/multilayer

o Mixed technology (thru-hole, SMT)

o Layout of mixed analog & digital circuitry

o Layout of power supply circuitry

• Proficient with Cadence (Concept HDL & Allegro PCB) or Altium Designer

• Proficient with AutoCAD (or equivalent mechanical drafting software)

• Product Database Management system experience

• Stable work history

• Self-motivated

• Dependable

• Familiar with IPC and industry standards

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Layout of RF & high-power circuitry

• 3D modeling experience

• Signal integrity analysis

• Electrical technician background

• Electro-mechanical packaging

• System level wiring and harness documentation

• HDI technology & high-speed design

o BGAs

o Blind and buried via technology

o Micro via technology

• PWB manufacturing experience

• DFM/DFA experience

• High temperature, shock and vibration design

• SCM/MCM design experience

o Schematic capture, layout & assembly documentation

o LTCC/HTCC

o Thick film

• CAD librarian experience
