Our client is looking for a UK & International Project Financial Controller for a contract position, located in Westhill, Aberdeen.

ROLE

The project Financial Controller is the primary liaison between the regional project and financial activities assisting to administrate, plan, organize, monitor and control the financial aspects of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

UK

  • Coordinates financial information for contracts
  • Produces and validates monthly project forecast
  • Produces and validates monthly cashflow
  • Prepares actuals including preparation and justification accruals
  • Calculates gross margin on contract projects

International

  • Liaise with PFC to prepare quarterly Management Accounts closing
  • Action and monitor project invoicing
  • Awareness of VAT and Withholding taxes applicable to each project
  • Focal point for International Project Team with the other Departments on all project related issues
  • Management of the monthly cashflows in a multi-currency reconciling all movements and variances to PMRs. Updating UKBU cashflow file for projects

Both

  • Validate and coordinate hedging analysis
  • Reconciliation of PMR to accounting data
  • Preparation of all dat5a in line with the external and internal audit requirements
  • Dealing with any adhoc requests by Project Teams

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree qualified, preferably finance related
  • Global Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts
  • Preferred
  • Use of oracle financial systems or large Enterprise Resource Planning database (e.g. SAP)
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Continually strive to improve self & work performance levels
  • Ability to work in a fast paced department with good time management
  • Proactive individual who is able to work on own initiative
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
