The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) will be responsible for Supply Chain Management of Coiled Tubing Services and Drilling Tool Services.

SCM will provide leadership and will implement policies and procedures to deliver quality service to field operations and to produce a profitable and sustainable operation department.

SCM may be required to travel and work at field sites in support of field operations. The job description consists of five main areas of focus:

Supply Chain

o Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed of deliverables from vendors, to job locations, and between WWT facilities.

o Provide operational support through purchasing, inventory control and logistics to ensure maximum productivity levels are maintained.


o Solicit bid(s) for goods and services and reviews vendor(s) quotes for best cost/delivery/terms.

o Selects vendor for order awarding and issues purchase order according to approved policies/procedures. Reviews if vendor is on Approved Vendor List and annotates on orders if additional vendor approval is required.

o Completes orders by performing receipt of goods processing, inspection, and final invoice review/verification.

Inventory Control

o Maintain inventory and supplies necessary to support on-going field operation(s).

o Maintain records of quantity, type, and value of material and equipment stocked in operations centers. Counts material, equipment or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records.

o Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.

o Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.

o SCM will be responsible for compiling information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment or supplies, and computing inventory balance, price, and cost.

o SCM will prepare reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.

o Provides on-going support to international offices.


SCM must be familiar with general transportation regulations for domestic and/or international freight preparation, documentation, customs requirements, and Inco-terms.

o Maintains vendor list for freight forwarders or third-party freight service providers for crate fabrication, transport, or customs/broker services. Compiles bids to ensure best practices and cost competitiveness.

o Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments for proper packaging and documentation.

o Packs equipment for domestic or export shipment. Completes required documentation complying with transportation regulations.

o Tracks material movement to insure safe and timely arrival. Reports timing, scheduled/estimated delivery, and maintains direct carrier/ third party communications throughout freight movement.

o Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

o May operate fork-lift or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.

Quality Control

SCM must be familiar with machined products, from virtually any material, including hardened steel, stainless steel, aluminum, exotic materials, and brass.

o Inspects supplied parts using inspection tool(s) such as calipers, micrometers, and various go/no-go gauging.

o Evaluates supplied parts against known standards (such as engineering drawings and applicable technical specifications) and dispositions accordingly. Must be able to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical drawings and schematics.

o Uses the Company's electronic document control system to access necessary technical drawings, specifications, and or procedures.

o Ensures that necessary records are received from the Supplier. Reviews records for accuracy and files documentation accordingly.

o Supports the Purchasing department and communicates with the Supplier regarding nonconforming material. Follows-up on corrective action to ensure continuous improvement.

o Prepares and maintains routine inspection documentation.

o Performs inspection on new and/or prototype parts and documents according to established procedures. Confers with technical personnel as necessary.


  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement/Inventory Control
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Military experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; high level of confidence in customer interactions
  • Ability to solve problems and implement solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software package (Excel, Outlook, Word); Knowledgeable in Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365 preferred.
  • Possess excellent organizational, computer, and telephone skills
  • Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations
  • Must be able to lift 50-lbs from floor to shoulder level
  • Able to operate basic warehouse equipment and pass company forklift certification
  • Performs other duties as necessary or assigned
