Role Summary:

The Nova Sales Leader in AMERICAS Region will drive sub-20MW opportunity pipeline, orders and margins by leading technical and commercial Demand to Inquiry (DTI) and being a strong champion for Nova in Inquiry to Order phase (ITO) until deal closure. Candidate will partner closely with region sales and ITO teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of NOVA Sales Leader, you will:
  • Be accountable to drive and grow a quality deal pipeline in sub-20MW range. He / She will be measured on DTI pipeline growth, DTI pipeline quality, orders and as-sold contribution margin
  • Identify and engage in opportunities at the early stage. He / She will map customer CTQs to drive differential value and generate early business outcomes such as spec-in, sole-source, pre-selection etc
  • Leverage existing relations with key accounts (IOCs, NOCs and independents) to launch DTI initiatives and develop an opportunity pipeline
  • Prepare budgetary proposals while taking support from equipment application engineering and equipment / services commercial team, where needed, in the DTI phase. He / She will ensure proposal competitiveness from a total cost of ownership perspective
  • Continue to partner with ITO and region sales in firm proposal stage by injecting sub-20MW expertise and positioning the deal towards successful closure at profitable margins
  • Partner with region sales to forge deep relations with end users, EPCs and other influencers to promote Nova as #1 choice in sub-20MW through multiple initiatives such as and not limited to below:
    • Pre-qualification activities
    • Inclusion in frame agreements
    • Specifying in customer process technology or applications
    • Package standardization for key customers
  • Partner with segments, marketing, region sales and other functions such as channels, business development etc. to drive the best go to market strategy. This may include:
    • Identifying new channel partners
    • Packaging opportunities
    • Out-Licensing
    • Other partnerships
  • Partner with broader ITO commercial team to engage in QMIs and S&OPs op-rhythms, to ensure Nova deals get the required support for both successful order closure as well as execution

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum seven years of application engineering, sales or commercial experience

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Travel up to 40-50% of the time, as required

Desired Characteristics
  • Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Strong background in Gas Turbines Technology in the sub-20MW range
  • Strong customer engagement skills and ability to interact with all levels
  • Able to map customer CTQs and translate into competitive offering
  • Strong analytical skills and proven capabilities to develop Business Cases
  • Must have excellent written and oral skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, integrative team working style and able to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers
