Role Summary:

The Identity and Access Policy Manager position reports to the Identity and Access Management Policy & Process Excellence Leader in Baker Hughes Cyber Security Risk and IT Compliance (CSRC) organization.

We are looking for a qualified individual who will work with Baker Hughes Digital Technology (BH DT) compliance partners to facilitate the effective management of Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies across BHGE. This role requires the use of specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to build, analyze, and further develop the enterprise-level policy governance framework for the Identity and access management cybersecurity domain across Baker Hughes. This individual will engage with peers and partners throughout Identity and access management organization, IT compliance and IT teams on projects, programs, and processes and ensure that the Identity and Access Management solutions fit the purpose and are properly integrating with Baker Hughes critical systems. He or she will thoughtfully execute IAM policy governance framework, with the goal of driving understanding of key IAM priorities and processes. The successful candidate will learn about Baker Hughes DT business, have opportunities to collaborate with other teams, and develop relationships across Baker Hughes Digital Technology teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role Identity and Access Management Policy Manager, you will:
  • Execute the processes to develop, document, and distribute Identity and Access Management policy governance standards for the organization and ensures implementation and measurement of objectives
  • Independently drafts, revises, edits and proofreads (IAM) policies and policy documents such as procedures and standards
  • Partners with IT compliance risk subject matter experts and business unit compliance teams across the enterprise to develop strategies for policy / procedures in IAM
  • Facilitate the rationalization, consolidation and retirement of existing IAM policy documents across Baker Hughes DT
  • Perform analysis to identify opportunities to assess IAM policy revisions due to remediation of compliance issues, regulatory changes, or other assurance items that may require amendments
  • Assist in the development of an appropriate suite of metrics and reporting to measure the effectiveness of the IAM compliance policy governance framework with regard to new policy implementation, regulatory obligations, policy exceptions, change management schedules, and modifications as required
  • Guarantee the maintenance of IAM policy documents and any related policy change management systems in the identified policy repository
  • Participate in policy change management processes, serving as a liaison and advisor to policy owners for IAM
  • Assist with formulating and recommending policy governance process improvement and related technology solutions and enhancements. Develops project plans for executing IAM policy governance changes and updates and manages progress against IAM project plans to ensure deadlines are met
  • Participate in the completion of large projects, including the ongoing IAM redesign program, through their entire project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, closure)
  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure efficient and timely work flow
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and assists in preparing materials
  • Prepare and delivers written and oral presentations
  • Train and mentor IAM team members and DT partners regarding IAM new and existing policies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, or from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in security, software engineering, compliance, and/or process management work in support of a highly technical environment

Eligibility requirements:
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Houston, TX

Desired Characteristics:
  • Advanced Knowledge of Industry standards for IT risk policies and procedures, specifically NIST CSF and ISO 27001/2
  • CISA / CISM or equivalent certification required
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to professionally address a wide and varied audience, including executive management, both internally and externally
  • Working experience on Identity and Access Management control requirements and compliance requirements, industry rules and regulations, and general IT Controls in the oil and gas industry
  • Concepts, practices and procedures of the oil and gas industry
  • Drafting documents, including reviewing, proofreading, and editing
  • Making rule-based and analytical decisions
  • Organizational and time management skills sufficient to independently handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and ever changing environment
  • Advanced MS Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
