HIGH LEVEL JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is Chevrons on-site representative to ensure rig site operations are carried out with primary focus on safe, reliable and efficient operations. This position manages contractors and ensures personnel are capable and can meet or exceed requirements of job activities. This position liaisons with Chevron non-rig team members and actively participates in planning and execution activities under the direction of the Lead Drill Site Representative(DSR). Minimum of 5 years of well site supervision experience. Experience in floating drilling operations is highly desirable. This experience can come from being a Toolpusher, Offshore Installation Manager or a company or consultant DSR position. Demonstrated skills in well control operations Develops knowledge of deepwater systems and processes through both formal training and mentorship. Uses effective written and oral communication.
- Applicant should be current with Chevron Subsea Well Control certification (or equivalent) for well site supervisors in the Gulf of Mexico. If applicant does not have a Subsea Well Control certification, then applicant must complete training prior to commencement.-
- Position is safety sensitive.
- Applicant must possess or obtain Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET), H2S respirator certification, and associated Chevron medical clearances.
**CRITICAL SELECTION CRITERIA (highest priority criteria should be listed first)
1 - Demonstrated experience in leading drilling and completion well plan execution at the rigsite. (Floating vessels experience is preferred).
2 - OE -Champions the development and maintenance of a multi-rig OE culture during design and execution. Enables and encourages a culture of stop work authority; promotes active use of the OE tenets; and ensures risk assessments are performed thru all phases of the well construction process.
3 - Technical Skill-Demonstrated skills in using risk analysis in decisions on well operations. Experience with decision making with limited data under operational conditions. Incorporates lessons learned and performance data in decision making.
4 - Mentoring-Ability - willingness to train and mentor groups of new drill site managers.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of well site supervision experience.
Experience in floating drilling operations is highly desirable
Chevron Subsea Well Control certification (or equivalent) for well site supervisors in the Gulf of Mexico
Rotational 14x14 assignment .
