Brief Posting Description

Leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive and robust Asset/Function performance management framework to facilitate the achievement of business and operational objectives, enable control, continuous feedback and decision support, information transparency, and ultimately boost the performance and productivity of the Asset/Function. Assures focus on asset objectives to meet functional strategies. Primarily responsible for the design and alignment of the asset performance score cards

 

Detailed Description

§ Understands and promotes the company's health, safety & environmental policy and objectives; performs work in accordance with the company's established rules, regulations and approved procedures; intervenes to stop unsafe acts and practices; and is accountable for the well being and safety of own self and others, including all contracted labor force - unskilled, semiskilled, and skilled.

§ Plans, directs and actively participates in the ongoing training and development of own self and subordinates with special emphasis on UAE Nationals. This includes assessing employees' training and development needs, directing the preparation of structured development programs, monitoring progress and counseling trainees on alternative career paths and job profiles available in the company.

§ Leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive and

robust Asset/Function performance management framework which enables control, continuous feedback, and decision-support across all aspects of the Asset/Function business operations. Ensures alignment with corporate guidelines and requirements.

§ Drives the development of the Asset/Function performance contract and participates in the review of the corporate performance contract in line with ADCO's vision, business plan and strategic objectives.

§ Consults Asset/Function management on quality and performance management initiatives aimed at optimizing business operations. Undertakes reviews and studies to identify potential areas for improvements. Recommends and participates in the design of business solutions and work practices enhancements.

§ Undertakes continuous reviews on asset performance. Identifies performance shortfalls and triggers remedial action in coordination with stakeholders. Re-align efforts to assure optimal business objectives and targets are met.

§ Identifies business improvement opportunities through close coordination with stakeholders, captures and collates lessons learnt and best practices. Drives process enhancement initiatives to improve overall business performance.

§ Facilitates and development of the Divisional and asset balance score cards. Drives consistency with corporate performance measures through close follow up with assigned divisional focal points

§ Directs and oversee the development of the functional strategy map and ensure alignment with key long term business deliverables.

§ Manages the reporting process within the Asset/Function to satisfy Asset/Function management information requirements, coordinates input for various forums and panels, such as QPRs. Reviews performance progress and reports, and follows-up on approved implementation plans.

§ Coordinates the external reporting to the corporate Performance Management unit. Reviews performance progress and reports, and follows-up on approved implementation plans.

§ Coordinates and design the Asset/Function's annual self audit program. This includes identifying high risk activities, supporting self-audit teams, investigating deviations, recommending corrective actions, and performing post follow-up.

§ Participates in the preparation of the Asset 5-year Business Plan of UAE national intake and liaison with Asset management, Workforce Planning and HRD.

§ Develops, maintains, and presents both general and specific performance and quality training programs. Facilitates and trains Cross-Asset/Function Business Improvement Teams as and when required.

§ Provides support in process mapping, flowcharting, and preparation of management manuals / procedures in the assigned Asset.

Performs other related duties as and when required by supervisor

 

Qualifications

§ Bachelor degree in an Engineering or Business discipline

§ Performance/Quality Management Certification (preferred)

 

§ 12 years experience in performance/quality management with at least 5 years in the Oil & Gas Industry

§ Direct experience designing and implementing large scale performance management systems
