Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company is currently hiring a Data and Analytics Lead based in Houston, Texas / Flexible.

The data/analytics lead is responsible for optimal management of the real estate portfolio and its associated metrics, including size and overall spend. Reporting to the corporate real estate general manager, this role will support the real estate operations lead in the analysis of KPIs and development of analytics for business cases behind strategic decisions & development of portfolio-wide standards. Additionally, this role is responsible for the global implementation and data quality of real estate IT solutions (e.g. computer aided facility management, integrated workplace management system and lease administration database) data mining and the smart and valuable usage of such. The goal of this role is to move major projects and initiatives forward, to appropriately integrate business feedback and ensure business and stakeholder acceptance and advocacy of real estate IT solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • In conjunction with the strategic regional portfolio managers (or other workstream where necessary) and with the support of external vendors, aggregate the inputs to strategic portfolio planning (costs, facility information, demand forecasts, occupancy data, lease data, market data, location data and business requirements) and external sources (i.e., market research sources) to analyze these inputs for the purpose of identifying opportunities in the real estate portfolio on a global level
  • Continuously monitor the portfolios performance against key metrics (vacancy, density, cost, etc.) to identify opportunities to improve real estate performance and generate cost savings goals and document in annual plans
  • Support preparation of detailed business cases for all real estate workstreams
  • Support presentations for selected opportunities for all real estate workstreams and make recommendations where necessary
  • Manage all weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and adhoc reporting to real estate and corporate leadership for the global portfolio
  • Liaise with corporate IT and real estate leadership to establish the technology strategy for any integrated workplace management system
  • Liaise with corporate finance for ERP integration (e.g. lease database and lease accounting)
  • Ensure that available data sources are identified and used to improve overall portfolio performance and support sound decision making
  • Drive data integrity, and organizational process consistency / scalability across the region through proactive collaboration with in-house and outsourced global teams.
  • Work with external vendors to build/integrate all real estate technology (help prioritize resources of vendor to higher impact initiatives)
  • Foster innovation around emerging technologies for built environment for the business (garner business awareness and consensus)
  • Consult all regions with regards to IT questions
  • Lead the development of IT-standards, processes for all real estate technology and collaborate with affected stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • 3+ years of relevant work related experience
  • High analytical skills and proficient in macro development within excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • PC proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Project)
