Position Overview: This position is a support and compliance position for transactional tax related areas.

Reports to: Tax Compliance Manager

Directs Reports: None

Major duties:
  • Gathering and compiling data for IFTA filings
  • Filing and paying sales tax returns
  • General ledger account reconciliations
  • Assist in gathering data for audits
  • Assist in organizing property tax data
  • File and pay F2290


Qualifications and Skills

Required:
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc)
  • Attention to detail and able to work in a loud office environment
  • Strong communications skills with internal and external customers
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check


Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related business field or equivalent work experience
  • General knowledge of the oilfield industry and equipment
  • SAP experience
  • Sales and use tax filing experience
  • Tax experience in the Oil & Gas Industry


Physical Requirements and Typical working conditions and hazards:
  • Must be able to push/pull/lift a minimum of 35 pounds
  • Long periods of sitting or standing
  • Physical effort (taking boxes to storage, bending, reaching, filing)
  • Protected, indoor office environment
  • Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use
  • Finger/hand/wrist agility for keyboarding
  • Some travel required (up to 10%)
