We are seeking a Public Policy Analyst to join the Regulatory Affairs Team of Corporate Affairs (CA).
Regulatory Affairs is one of the CA business entities reporting directly to the Vice-President of Corporate Affairs. The team's mission is to provide reliable research and advisory services, to leverage and align Saudi Aramco's communications and stakeholder engagements on policy and regulatory issues, to mitigate threats to business objectives and to capture opportunities.
Your primary role is to support management's ability to make well-informed decisions pertaining to regulatory and public policy matters. You will be required to screen the regulatory and public policy landscape (with emphasis on issues impacting the energy industry), collect and maintain the necessary database, and conduct and write related research and analysis. The research findings shall be disseminated within the company (as decided by CA Regulatory Affairs management) through reports, briefing notes, white papers, or presentations. You will also contribute to larger CA research and advisory projects, and work with colleagues across all departments to initiate, organize, and produce forums and programs with substantive impact and relevance to the CA-Regulatory mission.
As the successful candidate, you will hold a minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, including social and political sciences, economics, public administration or Middle Eastern studies.
You will have 5 to 7 years of experience in research and analysis in a well-established organization in the energy industry, government agency, or a not for profit or consulting firm.
Excellent knowledge in research methods and data analysis, and fluency in the English language (both written and oral) are a must. Knowledge of the Arabic language is a plus.
Knowledge of the regulatory environment in the GCC region, particularly in Saudi Arabia.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:

Disseminate research findings through the publication of reports, briefing notes, white papers, or presentations, as directed by superiors.
Contribute to larger Corporate Affairs' research and advisory projects.
Provide advisory services on communication and relations in connection with the regulatory and public policy issues.
Work with colleagues across all departments to initiate, organize, and produce position papers, research, forums, and programs with substantive impact and relevance to our mission.
Help transform research findings into results-oriented solutions.
Represent Saudi Aramco and/or participate in relevant conferences and meetings.
Provide training and mentoring for young Saudi talents within your area of expertise.
