This role is an integral part of the Corporate Benefits COE and the US HR team within the Global Human Resources Function. Reporting to the Global Benefits Manager, the Senior Benefits Advisor is a lead specialist role, supporting all business units, functions and employees across the United States. Identifies benefits trends/issues that require analysis and solves complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. Works in conjunction with Compensation & Benefits team members and partners and provides advice as to the best practices and methods to support business objectives. May lead functional teams or projects and provide work direction for more junior staff members and third-party providers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures all US Health and Welfare programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement and other ancillary programs, meet defined organizational service, quality and cost needs, and comply with legal requirements.
Maintains working knowledge of current trends, developments and legislation in the benefits field to make informed recommendations, changes and/or additions to the Company's program designs to best serve overall Company objectives.
Works closely with vendors and brokers to coordinate benefit administration and ensure services and programming are competitive and cost effective. Escalate employee issues and track through completion.
Maintain benefit administration system and ensure eligibility and employee data is accurate for payroll deduction. Review and approve invoices.
Design benefits-related communications and conduct training sessions to the business and HR to ensure understanding of benefit programs and incentives through a variety of media (print, email, videos etc.), particularly for open enrollment.
Evaluate and implement wellness program designed to improve employee engagement and health.
Functions autonomously with minimal guidance to independently meet the needs of the organization.
Conducts regular meetings with assigned client groups, providing appropriate HR guidance and collaboration on relevant business and workforce priorities.
Analyzes data trends and metrics to assess and/or anticipate business risks and, in partnership with HR COEs, develops and/or deploys recommended solutions, programs and applicable policies.
Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
Support change management activities and applicable transformation initiatives.
Negotiates priorities and support requirements with cross-functional teams, as appropriate, based on business and resource needs.
Opens and maintains effective communication channels with assigned management team, key stakeholders, and external providers.
Facilitates the delivery of HR advice, consultation and support to key stakeholders.
Provides timely and appropriate information and support to relevant stakeholders.
Develops strong collaborative relationships with key business partner peers and cross functional teams.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint skills.
Ability to handle multiple activities successfully and quickly with strong attention to detail.
Ability to influence and converse across many cultures and at multiple levels.
Must be able to think holistically and objectively, balancing business, functional and workforce needs.

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource or related field of study
6-8 years of equivalent benefits program administration experience in complex, demanding and dynamic business environments
Experience with Benefits Administration Systems
Experience with full suite of US employee benefits and up to date on legislative requirements
Ability to work effectively alone and as a member of cross-functional teams with minimal supervision
Advanced skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, and other standard office software
Relevant profession certification preferred (CEBS)
401K and Retirement Plan Experience working with actuaries
Experience in a rapidly changing, transformative environment preferred.
Experience using PeopleSoft preferred
Knowledge of international benefits
Knowledge of oilfield services industry preferred.
