JOB DESCRIPTION

Manage Finance implementations within JD Edwards finance module. Assist with IT audit compliance with emphasis on Systems in scope for SOX audit and help run IT SOX audit at various intervals as agreed upon for each system in scope.

Liase with Business Team especially Finance process team to understand Project scope especially as relates to JD Edwards requirements, document the requirements, suggest system configuration changes or enhancements as may be necessary to solve the project scope, write technical requirements for the

System enhancements, implement system changes. Provide Post Go Live Support on various system enhancements as well as escalation point for Critical Production Issues to troubleshoot and solve as needed

Work with various SOX system owners to identify activities to be done at various intervals based on Control Matrix. Ensure that identified activities are properly carried out by IT or respective control owner at identified intervals. Work with various system owners to ensure completeness and accuracy of reviews carried out. Work with various system owners and Internal Audit to identify roles/components/programs to be reviewed to ensure IT and control risks are mitigated. Ensure that Monthly tasks assigned to RUN team for elevated role review are completed and documented on time and any delays are escalated immediately

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Take a lead role within IT Department in evaluating new Business Requirements needed by Finance Team

Use detailed knowledge of JD Edwards finance modules to suggest solutions or enhancements as may be neededby the project

Write technical specifications for Finance Module changes within JD Edwards

Work with development team to provide testing on changes developed within finance module

Provide oversight to JD Edwards Support team for ongoing maintenance activities as relates to finance module

As needed perform data extraction and analysis for internal or external purposes using AS400 SQL or Showcase in conjunction with other excel based tools

Take a lead role in assisting the IT Department identify Roles that should be evaluated for Monthly/Quarterly and Annual Review from JD Edwards ERP

Work with other identified SOX systems to document similar roles with assistance from identified system owners.

Be Point of Contact for Internal Audit to respond to Audit queries

Work with application owners to put in place remediation steps agreed upon with Internal Audit

Coordinate with the IT Group and key application users in new software development for evaluating the development against guidelines for inclusion in program/role reviews

Work to get an understanding of SailPoint tool used for conducting SOX reviews and also assist with any new software that is used in future for SOX reviews

Involved in testing of upgrades/development from a controls perspective of the applications as needed.

Periodic, project-oriented out-of-town and/or overseas travel may be required for requirements definition, implementation purposes, conference room pilots, training and onsite support.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

At least Ten years' experience in implementing and supporting ERP Systems including J D Edwards with particular emphasis on JD Edwards finance module

Demonstrated ability of having implemented Payment processes within JD Edwards Accounts Payable with particular emphasis on Electronic payments

In depth knowledge of Month End Processes followed within Weatherford's finance department as relates to Reporting Financial Information for Monthly Management and Quarterly Financial reporting

In depth knowledge and understanding of tables and their inter dependencies within JD Edwards Finance module

Ability to use tools to help Reconcile Subsystem information with General Ledger Information within JD Edwards Financial and Distribution modules and suggest ways to fix data integrity issues within the system

Good Overview knowledge of tables and dependencies within JD Edwards Procurement/Sales and Inventory modules

In depth knowledge of tools used to extract and analyze data from JD Edwards especially Showcase, GL Inquiry and AS400 SQL.

Understand and monitor system changes in relation to SOD and Control impacts for SOX identified systems

In depth understanding of Weaterford's User Access Request system used to provide and remove access from users

Solid experience in the major PC-based productivity software applications including: spreadsheets, word processing, database management, report-writing and basic telecommunications applications - particularly, knowledge of the Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).

Self-starter with solid interpersonal skills - projecting a very positive, customer-service-oriented attitude.  Able to exercise sound business judgment and discretion - maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills - both from a functional and technical perspective.  Comfortable working in a "matrix-management" environment with numerous indirect and project team reporting relationships.

Ability to work both alone or as a member of a cross-functional project team with minimal supervision.

Quality-oriented attention to detail a must - particularly in the areas of application testing, quality assurance and systems documentation.
