The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Possess previous experience as an offshore Service Technician
  • Be familiar with casing running work and the equipment involved
  • Whilst primarily an offshore/wellsite position, the successful candidate must also be willing to work within the warehouse/workshop if and when required.
  • Previous mechanical experience is preferred.
  • Understand the requirements of an ad-hoc role and be flexible in this regard.
  • Hold the necessary certification to travel offshore
  • Due to the nature of the position, the candidate should live within a 50 mile radius of Aberdeen, UK
  • Previous casing running experience with automated equipment and Top Drive Casing Running Tool is preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Casing and Tubing running on wellsite TRS operations on an ad-hoc basis. There will also be some requirement to work in the onshore warehouse / workshop to assist with the maintenance and repair of equipment.


The main responsibilities of this positon are detail below:

  • Participate in TRS operations according to customer's requirements and in accordance with company procedures.
    • Test that all equipment is working as expected and according to procedure
    • Check that all equipment is received according to delivery ticket and work scope
    • Running and pulling of casing/tubing according to procedure
    • Maintain the equipment
    • Pack equipment in a safe manner before storing or shipment onshore
  • Represent the Odfjell 'brand' professionally at all times
  • Maintain and develop good relations and good service towards our customers and suppliers
  • Participate in emergency drills
  • Maintain order and cleanliness to ensure a safe workplace
  • Participate in "OWS safe job analyses" and OWS pre-job meetings, always seeking to positively contribute to create positive outcomes for our customer
  • React to, and take instruction from the TRS Supervisor (or Driller in absence of TRS Supervisor), in the event of a well control situation.
