Project Controls is responsible for developing, implementing, administering, and improving; scheduling, performance measurement, and change management processes. This position provides technical expertise in schedule preparation including development of conceptual, preliminary, and definitive schedules. They are required to perform all functions and responsibilities in harmony with the company's values and beliefs to ensure sustained partnership to the complete satisfaction of the client.
Implement Company and client project controls policies and procedures.
Manage and communicate to Udelhoven Management project scheduling, performance measurement, and change management processes.
Implement and ensure accurate performance measurements and prepare project reports such as forecasted resource usage, schedule performance index, project resource histograms.
Serve as principal contact on all project scheduling processes with customers and personnel.
Interface between project controls personnel, client personnel, and other stakeholders to coordinate resource allocation needs.
Implement and ensure accurate performance measurements and prepare project reports such as forecasted resource usage, schedule performance index, cost performance index, a project resource histogram, project forecast by Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and cost reporting by WBS.
Interface between Company, Subcontractors, and Client Project Controls systems.
Provide input to project execution plan development.
Provide guidance to Udelhoven Project Management on potential schedule impacts of design or construction changes.
Monitor the progress of the schedule by directly communicating with team members about their tasks.
Assess the impact of change requests on the project schedule, and incorporating the changes into the schedule when they have been approved.
Periodically perform walk downs of ongoing projects to verify reported progress.
Analyze the combined program schedules for resource loading and/or conflicts and review with management.
Prepare resource curves and review with management.
Use information gathered from the team to forecast the effort to complete each project.
Demonstrate good judgment in problem solving as well as proposing solutions.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Arts or Science degree or a minimum of five years project management experience required.
A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of the bachelor's degree.
Thorough understanding of project controls principles and practices required. Proficiency with Primavera P6.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
