Job Description


  • Negotiate and manage hydrocarbon, specialities and slops sales contracts with Third Parties according to Shell Global Business Principles, Code of Conduct, HSSE standards and rules.
  • Global Business Principles, Code of Conduct, HSSE standards and rules.
  • Principles, Code of Conduct, HSSE standards and rules.
  • Administration and implementation of Hydrocarbon Term and Spot supply agreements.
  • Contract workflow creation.
  • Manage hydrocarbon demand forecasting monthly
  • Manage hydrocarbon Deal Making sales and operations plan forecasting.
  • Analyse supply contract performance weekly
  • Manage and create contract agreements using Shell operating system
  • Mapping of contract and agreements in Apollo.
  • Manage performance of Buy/Sell supply contracts to mitigate price exposure.
  • Promote effective collaboration with internal/external stakeholders: Product Optimisation, Channel Optimisation and Supply Operations.
  • Manage Price Risk Exposure on term and spot contracts.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Economics will be advantage
  • Good working knowledge of GSAP and other ERP systems, Excel, Word, Power Point and FED/DEX
  • Knowledge of the South African fuels supply chain and competitor landscape
  • Knowledge of end to end processes which drives value generation throughout the supply chain, extended networking and good collaboration skills.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of value drivers.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Cross business collaboration to drive deal making deliverables.
