QC Inspector

Summary:
Oversee civil, foundations, electrical collections, sub-station, interconnection and transmission line installation activities.

Role Description:
Collection system (cable, sectionalizing cabinets, directional boring, megger testing and phasing verification, foundation forming and rebar, fall of potential, ground resistance testing, grounding grids, pad and pier foundations). Document the results of these tests on the appropriate forms.
Generate a 'Project Quality Plan' (PQP) which establishes a formal quality assurance program to ensure compliance of the construction activities with plans and specifications, applicable codes and standards while providing a safe work environment.
Develop, document and implement a 'Quality Control Plan' for material, equipment, assembly, construction, testing and commissioning. Identify definable features of work or various construction or fabrication phases associated with the project. For each definable feature develop a Construction Inspection and Testing Plan which will define the work sequence and required inspections and tests to be identified. Supply test results, documentation, certifications and submittals prior to starting the project. Once project has started verify and report the work confirms to current drawings and specifications, inspect material and equipment received on site, coordinate tracking and storage of material on site. Implement corrective actions for deficiencies.

Requirements:
10 years of field QC experience, or 5 years of QC field experience and an engineering degree from an accredited university.

Preferred Qualifications:
Be proficient in applicable standards including ISO-9000 and 2013 California Building Codes.
