Overall Purpose of the Job
The primary function of the Economist is to provide in depth analysis of the key drivers impacting the economic evaluations that will lead to the identification of strategic direction.
Principal Accountabilities Economic Function:
Carrying out periodic economic analysis of development and production fields (Financial and Economic modelling).
Perform screening economics.
Preparing decision trees & calculating Expected Monitory Value (EMV) of Exploration projects.
Carrying out economic analysis of various projects for negotiations with external parties to maximize organizational value.
Perform the portfolio analysis and ranking.
Provide Support and work closely with Technical, Commercial, Business Development and Finance Teams.
Support in the preparation of Investment Proposals for approval of management, government authorities and JV partners.
Support the technical department in the preparation of the Investment authorization process within Eni.
Peer Reviews Economic evaluation and presentation.
Provide support to the technical departments in the Reserves Certification Process and monitor the requirements of the RIS system (Condensate!NGL split, Gas Injection profiles, Abex Gas/Non gas split, Injection and Fuel Gas fee calculation, do nothing profiles).
Perform the annual impairment testing cash flow analysis.
Provide support in the preparation of forecasts and 4 Year/Business Plan.
Review of the VECO models (super profit tax, capex tax credit, etc).
Assist the Planning Coordinator and Managerial team for the resolution of Ad hoc issues.
Bachelor degree in Economics, Technical Disciplines, Business or Administration, Master degree is a plus.
3-5 years of minimum job related experience. Deadline-Oriented.
An analytical mind, logical thinker.
Candidate needs to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as this position requires dealing with the different departments of the organization.
Candidate needs to be proficient in spreadsheet skills, power point.
