This position is responsible for the design and implementation of HR operational excellence imperatives through close collaboration with the HR Leadership Team, Global and Geozone HR Business Partners, and other HR COEs.
More specifically, as part of the HR Operations COE, this role will be responsible for strategic development, guidance on service delivery and continuous improvement of our HR policies and processes to meet global standardization and simplification goals. A key objective is to identify and implement policy design and process re-engineering to achieve both incremental and transformational business impact as well as enhancing the experience of all stakeholders involved. It is essential that analytical skills and relevant methodologies are applied to proactively review, research and recommend improvements to current processes. In addition, an essential part of this role is to implement and maintain a robust governance model to ensure integrity of employee documentation supporting global processes including promoting technology to increase productivity, decrease rework and eliminate manual effort.
This role will also have opportunities to lead multi-workstream projects or problem solve for focus areas beyond the prescribed scope. This includes to plan, oversee and document all aspects of assigned projects, defining scope, developing detailed project plans and coordinating efforts and activities among the project team to ensure execution is in line with schedule and budget. All aspects of change management activities need to be overseen to ensure best possible stakeholder engagement levels. The use of marketing and sales skills is required to create customer-focused solutions to enhance the employee experience.
Review, research and recommend improvements to current processes
Analyze data, track metrics, to identify trends to facilitate process optimization decisions
Implement robust governance model to ensure integrity of employee documentation supporting global processes, including promoting technology to increase productivity, decrease rework and eliminate manual effort
Implement training programs for relevant stakeholders regarding new process and policies improvements
Determine and implement an appropriate audit process to ensure ongoing integrity of HR processes, including collating feedback from all customer groups to constantly improve practices and policies
Plan, oversee and document all aspects of assigned projects. Defines scope, develops detailed project plans and coordinates efforts and activities among project team members and related parties. Writes and disseminates work plans and all project documents (including procedures, proposals, work process flows progress reports and presentations), record keeping, and change control. Uses appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
Work with subject-matter experts to document processes and develop supporting instructional and communication materials
Design KPIs to support measurement of process improvements implemented for continuity
Measure project performance to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Change Management & Communication
Utilize change management in project plan design and implementation
Open and maintain effective communication channels with relevant stakeholders, internally and externally
Develop strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Provides timely and appropriate information and support to relevant stakeholders
Coordinate and lead meetings to facilitate communication on project progress, deliverables, and actions items needed
Focus on customer service and tailor HR offerings to meet customer's needs with people experience as central to HR operational success
Operate as a project manager across all aspects of the work in this role
Provide input into the development of established goals and work plans
Assist in executing the goals and plans of the HR Operations COE
Skills & Knowledge:
Must have an international mindset, to think globally and objectively
Strong organizational, project planning and analytical skills with superior attention to detail
Ability to work effectively under pressure with multiple priorities and tight timelines, making efficient use of time management
Excellent written, oral, and visual media communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with peers and relevant stakeholders
Works effectively in a matrix organizational structure, including negotiating and influencing peers and customers by utilizing proven track record as a trusted advisor and partner along
Demonstrated project management, analytical and process orientation skills
Has the ability to work effectively both alone and as a member of a cross-functional project team with minimal supervision
Minimum Bachelor's Degree plus 7-9 years of relevant experience; Master's degree preferred
Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other standard office software with advanced skills in JDE EnterpriseOne, PeopleSoft, SharePoint preferred
Knowledge of oil services industry or oil and gas industry strongly preferred
