As an Operations Lead, your prime responsibility will be to act as one of the leads of the Offshore Wind team, with responsibility for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) strategy setting and O&M operations. For early developments, the focus will be to influence the design of the windfarm; taking into account operability, and to be the technical lead - setting strategies and negotiating contracts with suppliers for O&M scope.
You can expect that several opportunities will be developed in partnerships - with different types of partners (including at times contractors), and different operating models. Interplay between (project) financing requirements, changing project ownership, supplier agreements, operational trading requirements, and risk appetite of these various stakeholders, will all have an influence on the O&M strategy.
More specific duties include:

- Ensuring that maintenance of all assets can be performed in a safe and effective manner
- Develop and improve the asset management system of offshore wind operations
- Coordinate the preparation of maintenance campaigns, including resource planning and vessel capacity
- Act as the contract holder for the main service contracts, and provide input and support in procurement processes
- Provide input to the development and maintenance of budgets
Shell is building up its New Energies and Offshore Wind portfolio through development of greenfield opportunities, buy into projects prior to / during construction phases and assets in operations. Particularly in NW Europe, the market is increasing in size and competitiveness. With this maturation, the competitive landscape is changing and will require a fresh look on project design, execution as well as operations and maintenance (O&M) - both technical and commercial.

Alongside your broad understanding of civil, structural and offshore disciplines regarding wind farms, we're keen to hear from men and women with as much of the following on your CV:
- With at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience as a seasoned offshore assets and / or wind operations manager
- Ability to provide operability input into design and project planning teams.
- Stakeholder Management Skills
- Capable of looking beyond the strict definition of the role, able to do what is best for the business, and understands outside influences.
