Summary: Responsible for receiving the requisitions from the Operating locations across the US for vendor products and / or subcontractor services. In addition, the Purchasing Associate is responsible for evaluating the vendor based on prefer list of vendors/ products and obtaining all approvals for any requisition. This individual should be an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Evaluate and create requisitions within the FLEX - JDE system, ensuring all information is accurate as requested.
Download invoices from vendor's portals submitting them to the right party for approval.
Advises employees as to appropriate choices of standard items to be purchased for laboratories.
Places orders with approved vendors and may arrange for service contract based on requisitions.
Follows up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates.
Maintains records and follow up files of purchases, shipments, and related matters.
Works with Sourcing / Procurement to ensure vendors are in system and on vendor master list.
Assists with any returns / changes / order discrepancies as needed.
Supports Operating Locations while receiving products/ services within Flex.
Performs related job duties as required.

Ability to multitask is essential.
Flexible and collaborative work style.
Good written, presentation and communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
High energy, high ownership of work product and dedication and commitment to driving results.

Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree or equivalent experience.
Typically 0-1years of experience in procurement or supply chain function.
