Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for an I&E Technician with previous experience in the oil and gas industry.

U.S. Only: Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.

The Electrical and Instrument Field Technician role works independently and with others to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintenance and Repair on all electrically driven equipment in the facilities
  • Maintenance and Repair on all Generators
  • Installation, Maintenance and Repair to all air conditioning units
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting power systems, programmable logic solvers (PLCs) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) to safely achieve plant production goals
  • Calibration and Maintenance of Plant and Platform instrumentation
  • Breakdown and repair work to Power Plants switchgear
  • Maintain and repair all commercial domestic equipment
  • Repair and maintenance on heavy plant and other equipment
  • Maintenance and repair to Gas Analysis equipment

Successful candidate to possess:
  • Proven trouble shooting and technical ability.
  • Electrical and Mechanical trouble shooting.
  • Ability to evaluate and resolve a wide variety of problem situations.
  • Ability to perform multiple pipeline functions.
  • Ability to be flexible and innovative in thinking and working.
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
