Port Scheduler
Responsible for developing an effective operational plan from requirements submitted by multiple terminal operators in the port for Port Operations to implement, that minimizes delays in providing pilotage services while optimizing the use of Ports resources.

Experience and skills

  • Experience in the maritime industry ashore will be added advantage and working knowledge of scheduling methodology and terminal management.
  • Sound working knowledge of international, regional and corporate regulations governing safe and productive port operations.
  • Sound knowledge of Commercial shipping and its role in international business.
  • Ability to work as a team player, self motivated with excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written English with strong but pleasant negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work under demanding circumstances, deploying strong organizational and time management skills. Well versed in MS Office and project applications and specialized scheduling and principles techniques.


Education
Class 2/1 (Deck OOW) Master Mariner Certificate, OR B Commerce OR B Science in any major.
