We are seeking a Technology Writer/Editor (TWE) to join the Research Development Center (R&DC)/Technology Strategy & Planning of Technology Oversight & Coordination (TOC), to work within the Communications Function.
The Communication function is a key enabler in supporting the R&DC to fulfill its mission of creating value for Saudi Aramco, through enabling R&DC to more effectively communicate with its vast stakeholders. The function is responsible for developing and communicating technology messages across various channels (in digital, social, and print) for the downstream and strategic research domains.
Your primary role is to provide specialist knowledge and skills for the creation of content within the Technology Domains of the Company's operations. You will need to analyze detailed and technical information, strategies, programs, and technologies, and provide accurate and impactful material, which can be disseminated across the entire Company.
As the successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations,
Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, from a recognized University. A proven background in more technical or industrial programs, which include written English language proficiency, will also be considered.
You will have at least 10 years of experience in public relations, journalism, press or related fields, with a substantial amount of that experience in global locations.
You will have a high level of oral and written English. Arabic fluency is highly desirable.
The knowledge of Company operations, policies, and problems, and the ability to present the corporate image would be beneficial. However, previous experience in a similar organization, with proven content generation in technical fields will also be considered.
In addition to the requirements listed above, you are expected to:

Able to write in explanatory, technical, and storytelling styles for multiple audiences

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Prepare technology content on all the existing and upcoming research programs and the technologies within them, for use in the Company's Communications channels, the department's reports and strategies, or for delivery by the Manager, Chief Technologist, and other key personal throughout the TOC.
Formulate technical responses, in conjunction with the Communications function, in any necessary engagement with our external stakeholders, such as partners, analysts, consumers, and the general public.
Write and edit material for publication in the department's annual, bi-annual, quarterly and monthly reports, committees, dialogues, and forums.
Produce special articles for Company periodicals such as Aramco World, Arabian Sun. Dimensions, Journal of Technology, and other publications.
Develop and prepare special reports and proposals for presentation by the Manager or Chief Technologists, and for use at meetings with shareholder representatives.
Investigate, and seek to implement new writing and content generation techniques and potential programs, for their possible application and use by R&DC and its research domains.
Advise and counsel division heads and other key personnel on how to generate strategic and impactful plans, programs, and operations, and be available to them as required.
Edit PowerPoint presentations, reports, weekly highlights, and other ad hoc requests.
Proofread reports, abstracts, patents, and other technical and scientific documents in detail.
Ensure material is written and edited to follow the established Company style.
Provide development and monitoring to junior employees.
