To operate automatic turning equipment, load and download programs, make simple adjustments such as feeds, speeds, depth of cuts and proof out parts.  Generally run simplified parts with greater tolerance. Generally runs only 1 type of equipment but may be required to run 2 of same at one time.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Get all G-50's set up machine with minimum assistance.  Tool up machine, load and download programs.

Make corrections with approval and minimum assistance.  Make necessary offset adjustments.

Responsible for inspecting parts during batch runs and collect all times for accurate costing.

Must be able to run machine unassisted.

Must help with maintenance repairs.

Maintain neat housekeeping.

Must furnish calibrated measurements instruments required by Weatherford for this position as per the attached listing.

Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Responsible for inspecting parts during batch runs and collecting all job for accurate costing.

Must be able to do minimal manual lathe work.

Must be able to run automatic machine unassisted.

Must help with maintenance repairs.

Must furnish calibrated measurement instruments required by Weatherford for this position as per the attached listing.

Maintain neat housekeeping.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Must comply with all requirements of Weatherford's Quality System Manual, Quality, Procedures Manual, and Department Operating Procedures.

Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Minimum 2-4 years experience in numerical controls.

Must be able to read blueprints.

Must be able to use all machinist devices and hand tools.

Must be able to learn and advance to Auto Turning Machinist A.

Must know basic math and shop trigonometry.

Ability to understand F coded programs, and able to debug programs with some assistance.

Must be able to set up, program, and operate machine

Must be able to learn and advance to Auto Turn Machinist A.

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

Ability to work night shift
