Position Function


The Controls Engineer is responsible for support of existing equipment and development of new systems. .Software support of equipment. Hardware support of equipment. Documentation of systems and equipment. Compliance with local market regulations


Minimum Requirements


  • Computing, Electronic or Electrical Engineering Degree


Key Functional Skills


  • Software skills in Codesys/Wago/Beckhoff/Labview
  • Software skills in setting up networks and wi-fi networks.
  • Hardware skills with wiring, sensors, valves
  • Hands on troubleshooting with existing PLC/PC control systems
  • Support directly and remotely of PLC/PC control systems.
  • Structured approach to control of documents
  • Ability to understand automated systems and how to improve them.
  • ATEX Ex competency in specifying and documenting electronic equipment
  • Troubleshooting to part level on electronic equipment




  • Support of PLC/PC systems
  • Control of software distribution and documentation
  • Documentation of hardware using existing systems.
  • Development of new relevant technology to support company.



Enthusiastic newly degree qualified person who is interested in PLC/PC systems and their application to remote and automated control systems. Hands on with basic wiring skills and troubleshooting who is prepared to support onshore testing, remote support and offshore support at times.


Physical Demands


  • Sitting for long periods of time in an office environment or during travel.
  • Ability to solder, wire and troubleshoot electrical equipment in a workshop environment with PPE.
  • Ability to go offshore to support equipment as required
  • Ability to travel within Europe and USA as required
  • Extended work shifts to meet deadlines; weekends as required.
