DUTIES:
The position will typically manage three or four medium sized projects and perhaps smaller periphery projects in parallel, aligned to optimizing rig connectivity such that we can improve worker efficiency and equipment up time. The position will coordinate internal and external support engineering resources with the innovation engineering manager and will collaborate with other Managers of Deployment Projects as required to ensure shared resources are effectively utilized. The position requires technical and administrative control of the project in accordance with the agreed/authorized project objectives, schedule, commercial target, internal/external customer requirements as well as regulatory body and class society requirements.
AUTHORITY:
Manage project with respect to engineering, scope of Work, budget, schedule, quality, safety, contract administration and personnel issues through all project phases and in accordance with Company policies, standards and project objectives.
Prepare and submit Budget and project plans for Sr. management approval.
Develop project requirements and monitor solution against said requirements
Liaise with Necessary class and regulatory society's
Develop new operating procedures and protocols that will apply once technology is deployed
Manage and coordinate commissioning and rig acceptance with customer.
Participate in vendor contract negotiation.
Monitors and reports progress of the project.
Direct and monitor project commissioning.
Coordinate project with other departments, classification society and customers.
Review, administer, control, and authorize project budget expenditures as required.
Recommend appraisals for project personnel Ensure the application of new technology will result in a demonstrable performance of efficiency improvement Ensure Operations and Marketing staff are updated with technology development status and support these departments in customer engagements discussing deployment of new technology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Electrical, ET, IT or communication qualification and 3 years offshore experience preferred
