JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for supporting strategic and tactical management of Weatherford global logistics and distribution, conducting analysis of projects, logistics cost and statistical studies.  Analyzes and reports on historical logistics data and trends in performance. This role is a key member of the Logistics team supporting all aspects of international delivery of products. It requires the ability to analyze, apply process improvement capability, and conduct business analysis to support all areas of the international logistics and distribution.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and synthesize external and internal data in order to develop and/or make decisions on business strategy. Prepare and report results of analysis and present as needed.

Manipulate and analyze data into usable information for process improvement, cost reduction and customer experience.

Analyzes costs, vendor performance, vendor quality, and other supply chain key performance indicators (KPIs).

Performs transactional tasks in WFT's ERP system, such as logistics transactions and inventory moves.

Helps facilitate vendor reconciliation

Ensure that market intelligence from external sources is being effectively archived and utilized and that it meets the unique needs of Management, and where appropriate Product Lines (PL's) and Regions.

Provide support in the identification, analysis, design, planning and implementation of business process improvement initiatives.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to coordinate, prioritize and meet multiple deadlines in demanding environment

Bachelor degree in Business Management required, MBA a plus.

3-5 years' experience as analyst in a supply chain function. 

Superior analytical and problem solving skills

Advanced organizational skills 

 Ability to communicate information of a complex nature to various levels of management and external clients (written & verbal) in an easy to understand business language

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and other MS office software

Must reside in or near the Houston TX area. 

Preferred:

Ability to understand the impact of moderately complex changes, formulate test/plans conditions to minimize risks and recommend appropriate business and system solutions

Technical, project management and organizational skills

Experience in Logistics

Experience in JDE
