WHAT WE REQUIRE:

STRUCTURAL STEEL FITTER / WELDER:
Minimum 5 years structural welding experience.
Stick and flux core experience.
Experience with install, remove, alteration and repair ship's superstructure.
Must be able to manufacture templates, layout and fabricate structures and fittings including bulkheads, equipment foundations, hangars, ladders, and stanchions.
Experience with fit ups and make ready for welding, including chipping, beveling, hand-grinding and cleaning of surfaces to be welded.
Able to comprehend blueprints, diagrams and sketches.

STEEL PIPE FITTER / WELDER:
Minimum 5 years pipe welding experience.
Must have experience with Stick, Mig, Tig, and Flux Core welding techniques to weld various components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Performs layout, fabrication, installation, testing and repair pipe systems.
Test piping systems to include and air and water.
Work with all materials and sizes of pipe and tubing.
Experience with bending and threading.
Must be able to comprehend blueprints, diagrams and sketches.

DRY DOCK MASTER:
- Minimum 7 years of operational experience as a Dock Master or Assistant Dock Master.
- Expert operational knowledge of a minimum 1,100 ton floating drydock.
- Familiarity with and knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items, CFR, and USN ship repair a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret ship docking plans.
- Ability to forecast annual budget and scheduling of ongoing R&M.
- Superior knowledge and experience utilizing rigging gear and proper rigging methods.
- Knowledge and ability of basic outside machinist skills.
- Must be capable of directing and managing a labor and/or paint crew if assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively with commercial, USCG, and/or USN customers.
- Ability to lead, manage and motivate employees in a production environment for maximum performance.
- Must have strong knowledge of shipyard repair methods, safety practices, planning, and scheduling.
- Ability to read and comprehend work specifications, work orders, blueprints, and docking plans.
- Ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines effectively and respond well to last minute, high priority, time sensitive assignments.
- Ability to successfully multi-task.
- Must be able to react and perform in emergency situations.
- Familiarity with and knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items/CFR and USN ship repair a plus.
- Skill in operating a personal computer and assorted PC applications such as word processing. Familiar with the use of Microsoft Office( Excel, Word, Outlook, Project Management ).

OUTSIDE MACHINIST:
Minimum 5 years shipyard OSM experience.
Experience working with valves and pumps.
Experience with shaft and bearing work.
Must have auxiliary equipment experience.
Experience with rigging equipment.
Must be able to comprehend blueprints, diagrams and sketches.

MARINE PAINTER:
Must have three (3) or more years of recent spray painting, shipyard experience preferred.
Prepares surfaces for painting; cleaning and masking.
Must be knowledgeable of spray paint equipment (hoses, pumps, spray guns and tips) and skills in repairing them.
Must be comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, and man lifts.
Ability to work overtime and have a flexible work schedule.
Will need to work in inclement weather.

GENERAL LABORER / FIREWATCH / SCP:
Cleans ships, piers, dry docks, and other working areas, using broom and water hose.
Removes paint and scale from ships' metal surfaces, using hand or powered wire brushes.
Observe hot work (welding) ensure area remains free of obstacles and hazardous materials. (training provided)
Be qualified at working in confined spaces (tanks, voids, stowage's, etc.) (training provided)
Current SCP Certificate preferred but not required.

MARINE INDUSTRY EXPERIEINCE IS REQUIRED:
• Work well independently and with others in a team environment.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Attention to detail.
• Comply with all shipyard safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Properly lift up to 50 lbs. while pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping.
• Welders/Fitters must have the ability to work in all positions; flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead for up to 12 hours a day with normal rest breaks.
• Standard 40-hour work-week.
• Overtime may be required.
• Able to perform sustained work at various heights of 10 feet or more.
• Accomplish all assigned tasks using marine standards, as directed.
• Properly and safely use and care for all company property, including hand & power tools.
• Must furnish own basic hand tools typical to industry standards.
• Ability to travel out-of-town, occasionally.
