Principal SAP MM & PM Analyst
The Principal Analyst plays a significant role in the leveraging of SAP and related technologies in support of the Reliability organization and Marathon production assets across the US and Africa.
The Principal Analyst is expected to take a key role in developing relationships with decision makers in the various client groups. The analyst brings to the table a detailed knowledge of industry best practices and will consult and advise on all matters pertaining to the effective deployment of SAP and related tools. The primary objective is to provide solutions that meet the clients' business processes in the arenas of plant maintenance and equipment reliability as well as activities including but not limited to planning, scheduling, materials management, logistics, project management and finance.
An important aspect of this role is the development and oversight of strategic measures to support and enable client groups, including creation and maintenance of roadmaps for the ongoing and progressive implementation of solutions in the target workspace.
The principal analyst acts as a trusted partner for the client groups. This role utilizes highly-developed consulting skills, a high level of business knowledge, and wide-ranging SAP solution expertise. The analyst assists user organizations to identify opportunities to make improvements through efficiencies and increased effectiveness, and also utilizes trusted relationships to acts as a 'bridge', between IT and users, and between disparate user groups
The principal analyst carries out complex, challenging and innovative assignments without supervision and has an important part to play in the mentoring and development of other staff within the organization.
- The role requires 15+ years' experience within the Oil & Gas industry, within operations and IT
- The role requires 15+ years' experience in SAP Logistics modules including Plant Maintenance (PM), Materials Management (MM), Remote Logistics Management (RLM), along with significant experience in Project System (PS), Controlling (CO) and Joint Venture Accounting (JVA)
- Deep understanding of the core logistics modules, their configuration, and integration points
