Chevron Oronite Company is accepting online applications for the position of Automotive Engine Oil Product Qualification Program Manager located in Richmond, CA through April 16, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Chevron Oronite Company LLC is a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of performance additives for fuels and lubricating oils. We are a global company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chevron Corporation. Our research is focused on developing additives that control oxidation, friction, wear, viscosity, and deposit formation, and combining these in formulations that effectively lubricate a diverse range of equipment, including gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems used in automobiles, trucks, ships, trains, tractors, and other equipment.
This role is responsible for the design and execution of Automotive Engine Oil (AEO) product qualification (PQ) programs. The program manager provides work direction to PQ program assistants who execute the details of the desired testing plans.

The program manager acts as a technical expert to market managers, formulators and other key Oronite stakeholders on industry and Oringinal Equipment Manufactuerer (OEM) performance claims and approval processes as well as code of practice interpretations. The program manager prepares budget estimates for PQ programs and may interact directly with Oronite's customers on PQ-related issues.
The program manager works with AEO formulators and recommends minor modifications to additive packages and other finished oil parameters during programs to meet the required engine and bench performance levels. The program manager ensures that the requests for testing and blending are executed per requirements.
