Chevron Canada has been responsibly developing Canada's abundant energy resources for more than 80 years. Chevron Canada Resources is currently seeking a Measurement Technical Assistant (Contract) to join the Canadian Business Unit. This position will be based in either Calgary, Alberta or Whitecourt, Alberta and will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Measurement Technical Assistant (Contract) located in either Calgary, Alberta or Whitecourt, Alberta through Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Management of Chevron Sampling and Analysis program
Maintains Chevrons Measurement Metrics
Coordinates reoccurring Measurement related meetings
Management of Measurement and Regulatory data
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of gas and liquid measurement and devices
- Knowledge of gas and measurement regulatory requirements an asset
- Moderate knowledge of SCADA systems
- 10 years of relevant upstream oil & gas experience supporting operational facilities
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
- Experience leading teams, coordinating work and interfacing with many stakeholders in multiple locations
- Demonstrated commitment to behavioral based safety programs and ensuring incident and injury free working conditions.
- Ability to represent Chevron's interests in a constructive and professional manner during interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong written/verbal and presentation skills and team/inter-team work skills
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
