Land Representative - Systems: Provides transactional, business process, master data and technical support to land Department personnel and other users of the Quorum Land System (QLS) Land Management Systems.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
  • Deliver Land systems and business process expertise to assist Land personnel in providing continuity, efficiencies, proven work principles, and solutions to support CNAEP objectives.
  • Assess Land personnel business needs to ensure sufficient systems support to meet those needs; design, organize and navigate strategies to help people find, access, use, categorize, and manage land and upstream oil & gas information for successfully developing sound business solutions and decisions.
  • Provides design, organization and navigation strategies to help people find, access, use, categorize, and manage information more successfully. Identifies and recommends improvements to work processes.
  • Administer and perform metrics and SOX controls for the Land Department, including selecting the test sample, validating the test results, and following-up with system users to resolve issues
  • Perform data quality control reviews for new and modified QLS data to ensure data is accurate, timely and in compliance with defined data rules. Identify gaps and training opportunities for end users.
  • Deliver land system and integrated business process training to promote consistency and uniformity using Land system applications.
  • Resolve system and data issues for QLS.
  • Advance enhancements to functionality of the Land information management systems and coordinate the deployment of new software upgrades, including testing, training and roll out. Interact with industry user groups, trade, government and other representatives to share/ learn new concepts.
  • Develop customized data extracts and reports from Land systems and other Company and commercial data bases providing various types of data for Land personnel, Company clients and management for enabling sound business decisions.
  • Applies quality principles and techniques to day-to-day work and demonstrates Chevron Way values. Able to clearly present results to supervisor and peers.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Energy Management, or Finance.
  • A minimum of one-year experience in Land, Business, Accounting or Finance.
  • Knowledge of Land Department functions and business processes.
  • Working knowledge of Land information systems (QLS & QGIS).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, including delivering presentations.
  • Demonstrated strong teamwork skills and the ability to build strong, constructive working relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring skills.
  • High level of organizational skills with demonstrated ability to handle many high-priority tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of accounting and oil and gas operational processes.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas lease, revenue, royalty, tax and other contractual rights and obligations, processes and practices.
  • Ability to interpret and translate business needs into application and business process solutions.
  • High level of organizational skills with demonstrated ability to handle many high-priority tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of MS Access, Visio, and project management applications.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
