The Software Engineering Services (SES) team is looking for an Automation Technology Analyst Intern to help our team drive automation initiatives across the enterprise. This role is directly involved in both emerging (i.e. Azure Bot Framework) and established automation technologies and is part of an engagement team assisting business units in the implementation of automation as a part of Chevron's Digital Innovation and Acceleration Initiative.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Be involved in developing automation processes/runbooks/jobs using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand

• Be involved in developing IT automation solutions that focuses on maximizing business value and quick ROI

• Can assist with the daily support of different automation platforms and compliance activities

• Identify automation opportunities and create a solution for manual and repetitive process

• Passionate about using and learning new technologies to solve business problems.

Required Qualifications:

• College/university students graduating in 2019, 2020, preferably pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.

• Students required to render at least 3 months of internship as part of the school curriculum

• Students with proof of good moral conduct and/or endorsement from college/university

• Knowledge/experience with software development, particularly C#.NET and SQL

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Proactive and collaborative

• Innovative and Creative with keen attention to detail

• Has genuine interest in pursuing a career in IT

Preferred Qualifications:

• Programming experience with a solid understanding of development concepts

• Background in Automation tools and Azure

• Software Design Patterns and Principles

• Skilled in developing and testing client-based and/or web-based software solutions in an Agile environment.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and achievements in co-curricular activities

• Possesses strong communication skills and proven experience in delivering innovative technical solutions with agility.
