Overview:

Continuous demand for better fuel efficiency contributed to the development of many transmission technologies in the past few decades. Driveline Research and Development Engineer/Scientist is to expand our core competency and develop lubricants for next generation automatic transmission (AT) including continuously variable transmission (CVT) and dual clutch transmission (DCT). Understanding the technical needs of key customers and OEMs is a must for this position. This position requires good understanding of lubricant technology and is expected to work with cross-functional teams including Brand, Product Technical Services, and regional sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop lubricants for AT, CVT, and DCT applications
  • Work with customers and OEMs to develop next generation lubricants for AT, CVT, and DCT
  • Interface with Brand managers to understand Brand strategy and support the initiatives
  • Play a key role in maintaining strong technical relationships with key OEMs
  • Work closely with Product Technical Services (PTS) team to address customer's technical needs


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or related filed
  • A minimum of 3 years of experiences in lubricant related fields
  • Sound technical skills and abilities with good problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills to work with diverse groups of people in different job functions and background
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Energetic and motivated


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or related filed
  • 5 years of experience in lubricant related fields
