Responsible for deployment of software solutions to Oil & Gas customers.


Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Understand and own the basic, intermediate, and advanced technical training curriculum and demonstrate the ability to deliver that knowledge in-person and online to both internal and external learners

Deliver basic, intermediate, and advanced technical training curriculum (Theoretical & Practical) in a professional manner, provide detailed assessment of student performance, and provide comprehensive performance feedback to managers on their direct reports

Work with Training and Competency Managers to evaluate existing training curriculum to ensure accuracy, relevance, consistency and alignment with strategies and goals

Support Training & Competency groups in the building process of competency mapping

Assist Training and Competency Managers in performing training needs to determine specific curriculum development requirements

Provide technical training in international district locations as determined by the Hemisphere Training Center Manager

Prepare and deliver technical seminars and workshops to personnel in the client's location

Support the Operations group in developing and completing all required competency standards for their personnel

Use Employee Connect to maintain rosters, enter grades, and provide required class administrative support

Assist in achieving all training department goals and objectives

Adhere to Training department policies and procedures

Work on Special Projects as assigned

Support Current and future needs of training in product line including Automation and Software

Maintain and foster a safe working environment at all times    



Ability to manage, motivate and assess a dynamic work group.

Demonstrated ability to effectively train and mentor personnel in classroom and field environments.

Knowledge of technical training program design and development techniques.

Ability to plan, delegate, schedule and monitor results.

Good oral and written communication skills are a necessity.

Successfully complete all safety training courses required for classroom and workshop training

Windows OS administration and Support

BS Computer Science or Engineering Or similar studies

Debugging /programming skills in VB or other programming language, SQL, XML, 

Windows programming environment and web development

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to calmly manage crisis situations

Ability to plan ahead and organize daily and weekly tasks

Ability to work with minimum supervision

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.


Experience with C++ / MFC, or C# / WPF

Experience with process automation systems such as SCADA is a plus

Automation support and/or programming experience

Experience in a similar role delivering technical training with hardware and software

Work Experience working with SCADA software and Hardware

Experience in Oil and Gas Industry - Production
