Job Description

As our Business Accounting Manager Trading, you will serve as a primary focal point for the global Trading & Supply organization on all significant accounting and reporting matters.

Acting as a subject matter expert for the business, you will play a key role in providing accounting advice and support to Planning and Appraisal teams and operating units. You will independently discuss, analyze, challenge and ensure the financial integrity of the business quarterly results submissions both with internal stakeholder and our external auditor.

You will be part of Shell Group Reporting function which means that you have to identify and understand the accounting and reporting issues surrounding the various businesses from the function, while also be able to explain those issues and provide solutions to the senior stakeholders.

Requirements

The Ideal Profile:
  • A robust finance experience focused on (commodity) Trading principles is a must for this role, preferably on a senior financial accountant or controller level;
  • Knowledge and demonstrable experience in IFRS 9 and/or 13, along with a strong understanding ofGeneral Accepted Accounting Principles. Registered Accountant/Controller or CMA certifications are welcomed;
  • Critical thinking partnered with the ability to communicate accounting/reporting issues, concerns and solutions to the senior Trading and Finance leadership community.
