Role: Program Manager/Senior Industrial Hygiene Consultant

Full-Time position for an experienced certified industrial hygienist (CIH) or certified-eligible, in the Atlanta, Georgia office, to provide exposure assessment services to local, regional, and national clients. Candidate will be responsible for performing and managing projects. Responsibilities may include preparing proposals and industrial hygiene sampling plans, working with industrial hygienists under your direction, and writing and reviewing reports. Must be capable of researching and accurately referencing standards (e.g., OSHA, ACGIH, etc.) and have a working knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Strong interpersonal and writing skills are necessary. OSHA and previous consulting experience are preferred. Training skills are a plus.
Essential Functions:
This position will be responsible for evaluating workplace health exposure risks for a wide variety of clients. Qualified candidates would have experience performing many of the following tasks.
Conducts qualitative exposure assessments, including basic characterization, identification of similar exposure groups, and development of sampling plans;
Plans and conducts industrial hygiene sampling surveys for chemical, physical and biological hazards.
Interprets exposure monitoring results, develop appropriate recommendations to control exposures.
Authors detailed technical reports supported with sampling, analysis, and/or evaluation data; citation of applicable references, and recommendations for any necessary abatement.
Evaluates industrial ventilation systems.
Defines fundamental concepts of inferential and deterministic statistics in order to select appropriate statistical tools (both parametric and non-parametric) to determine exposure outcomes
Recognizes and investigates the potential for health effects associated with chemical agents without authoritative occupational exposure limits.
Defines strategies for ongoing exposure monitoring to assure timely identification of deviations in exposure profiles and to ensure controls continue to be effective
Assesses compliance with OSHA health-based standards.
Develops and presents industrial hygiene training programs at client sites.
Performs indoor environmental quality investigations.

Job Requirements:

Education: B.S. required; M.S. preferred
Experience: 5 - 10 years including project management
Certifications, Certificates, and Licenses: Board certification, or eligible, in the comprehensive practice of industrial hygiene (CIH) from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. Holds certificates and licenses for the consulting area of specialty.
Anticipated regional travel 25%.

Desired Additional Skills:

Ability to perform Safety Inspections, Field Oversight, Incident Investigations, and develop Health and Safety Plans.
Ability to manage asbestos inspections, Operations and Maintenance plan development and asbestos and mold remediation projects.
Existing regulatory certifications (e.g. Asbestos, Lead, Mold).
Technical and Operational Management of multidisciplinary staff
Experience managing programmatic and multisite projects.
