For equipment fabrication that involves welding of any metallic item that comes in contact with
chemical process and structural steel, the inspector shall be a Certified Welding Inspector
according to one of the applicable national or international standards as listed below.

- American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
-API 510 or 570
-The inspector shall have a minimum of (5) years documented experience with NDE,
fabrication and inspection for chemical, refinery, power plant, gas, oil, and other
related industrial fields.
-The inspector shall be knowledgeable in the specified Codes of Construction that Equipment is
designed to, i.e. ASME Section VIII Division 1, Section II (Parts A, B, and D) Section IX and Section
V. Also, AWS D1.1 as applicable.
-Inspector shall have formal training in Film Interpretation (in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A
or Dow EMETL G8S-5001-00) and pass a proficiency test for film interpretation and code knowledge.

Required Experience, Education, Certifications:
AWS - CWI and/or API 510, NDE Level II- Radiographic film Interpretation

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
welding, pressure vessel, heat exchanger, inspection, API 510, CWI, RT, ASME Section VIII.
