Bureau Veritas is the market leader in Statutory Inspection services and therefore continues to experience success and growth each year. As a result of our ongoing success and continued business growth, we are currently looking to appoint an Area Manager to join our Statutory Inspection division.

The role of the Area Manager is ultimately to provide leadership and guidance to a team of field based engineer surveyors whilst also providing a professional interface with all our key clients. In this role you will work collaboratively as a team to ensure we are meeting the needs and expectations of our prestigious portfolio of clients.

In addition to the above you will have responsibility for client relationship management, operations management and ensuring we are identifying opportunities to grow and develop our organisation.

Success in the role will require you to quickly develop strong working relationships with other key stakeholders across all functions and departments within Bureau Veritas, from commercial to operations.

The role is home based however there is a requirement for travel from site to site and to client locations within your geographical area of responsibility as well as to Bureau Veritas office locations in the normal course of business


Candidate requirements include:


  • Experience of managing a field based team
  • People management experience
  • Commercial and financial acumen
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical skills and ability to deal with numbers / KPI's and use them in decision making
  • Positive approach to the challenges of change and see change as an opportunity
  • P&L Experience


Personal attributes required:



  • Engineering or Hard FM knowledge


  • Excellent customer service manner, with strong listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with clients
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Good Commercial Acumen
