As Instrument Technician, you'll be based at Shell Fife Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Plant in central Fife.
The plant plays a key role in maximising the value of the North Sea's natural resources, processing NGL to be shipped worldwide.
You're going to be a vital part of the plant's multi-discipline Instrument Maintenance Department, carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance activities across all instrumentation, including Fire and Gas Systems, Safeguarding Logic, and Measurement and Control Systems.What's the role
This is a role with a wide-range of responsibilities that are pivotal to driving the maintenance success of your team, in line with company procedures and to budget. Specific duties will include some of the following:
- Safely completing work using the P-Vision permit system.
- Recording technical history on task completion.
- Assisting in reviewing and updating department procedures.
- Assisting in pre-commissioning and commissioning new equipment.
- Participating in the site duty rota, responding to emergency situations as required.
You'll also call on your natural communication skills, nurturing strong working relationships within a small team, yet ensuring collaboration with the wider maintenance and operations departments.Company Description

We're keen to hear from men and women with extensive experience in instrument maintenance within a process or petrochemical industry. Along with either an ONC certification or equivalent in Instrument, Electronic, or Electrical Engineering, or NVQ Level 3 in Instrument or Engineering Maintenance. Beyond that, we'd hope to see some evidence that you're as comfortable with people as processes, able to nurture good working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
