The Software Services Manager manages the software deployment and implementation teams and works closely with his/her counterparts, Sales and Product management teams. This role is responsible for ensuring that expert level services are available for the WFT software business and is accountable for maintaining the Profitability of team and projects. Ensure outstanding service quality and align with product line product, sales, financial goals.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Extremely customer centric. Manage large projects and play a strategic role in ensuring service quality and value generation
Focus is to grow and maintain the software services business in geo-zone and help other geo-zones
Sell Services to current customers and work with Sales on new prospects and potential customers.
Manage services pricing structure
Manage and improve resource utilization
Team player with the US and global Software Sales teams. Develop strong working relationship as a high performing team
Maintain and ensure profitability. P&L accountability for the Services segment and key projects.
Control costs to maintain profitability
Develops training material for use by the department
With assistance of HR; recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers and disciplinary action.
Prepares Services and project budget and monitors it's compliance with measured goals
Ensure that all WFT policies and procedures are adhered to.
Develop and manage documentation for Software Service procedures and process
Implement and Monitor Service Quality programs and KPIs
Develop and enforce strong Project Management and Methodology practices
Identifies product performance issues and gaps that may require changes or product upgrades
Keeps management informed of any major issues that may adversely affect customer satisfaction.
Assists in the evaluation of products/services and determine possible solutions for product improvement.
Interacts with WFT Software and Hardware R&D to ensure appropriate product data is available for determining product enhancements and development
Investigates and summarizes field input on new product performance during test periods and existing products and submits a report to the appropriate departments
Coordinates with Engineering, and Manufacturing on field use conditions that can affect product performance and design
Good written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding customer engagement skills
Experience in Oil and Gas for running Services business
Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline
Ability to sell professional services
Ability to engage with customer on their strategic business initiatives
Ability to track and manage P&L
Must have the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and elicit support and cooperation of team members
Ability to work multiple projects
Must be able to support and enforce all company policies and procedures
Must have outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Able to handle multiple tasks while meeting all required deadlines
Strong Project, Program and portfolio Management Skills
Production software background with at least 10 years' experience in oil field services company
PMP certification is preferred
