JOB DESCRIPTION

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collect and analyze business unit financial and operational data for investor presentations.

Develop slideshows for investor conferences and meetings.

Participate and assist in investor presentations and meetings.

Analyze individual business unit performance and conduct peer comparisons.

Maintain current market intelligence.

Track and analyze macro market data and assess operating activity ramifications.

Contribute to the development of quarterly earnings press releases and quarterly conference call notes.

Prepare materials for quarterly Board of Directors meetings.

Monitor and analyze shareholder activity, including changes in position, compare to recent schedule of management investor meetings, and make recommendations based on observations

Research targeted investors/analysts and those that request meetings/calls with management to evaluate if they warrant effective use of management time

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Strong ability to assist Business Intelligence and Investor Relations functions in gathering, and analyzing corporate data to aid in decision making.  

Strong ability to analyze peer companies' performance, industry trends and other factors relating to market intelligence.

Ability to work with executives while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

Ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision along with working in a team environment.

Ability to accurately and timely complete tasks while applying conceptual and critical thinking skills.

Ability to manage several time sensitive projects simultaneously.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Ability to conceptualize extensive abstract and concrete information.

Strong written and presentation skills, with the ability to detect and correct errors.

Ability to communicate and engage with executives and colleagues throughout the Company.

Experienced in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Bloomberg, FactSet, and other financial reporting systems are helpful

Ability to respect confidentiality of the information exposed to in the role.

Ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as independently.

Ability to uphold exceptional judgement, discretion and integrity.

Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline.

MBA, CFA or comparable post-graduate degree is desired.

Knowledge of investor relations, including consulting for and/or working with large multinational energy companies.

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, and outstanding oral and written communication skills

Knowledge with investor relations

Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills

Ability to develop credibility within the investment community and the Company's management team

Must reside in or near Houston TX.  (Office located in the Galleria area)
