POSITION SUMMARY

The Economics and Planning LP Engineer will be responsible for multi-site fuel plants and act as a back-up to our specialty plants.  Additionally, he/she will assist the Economics and Planning group with several very important task such as LP (Linear Programming) forecasting models, analysis and reporting of these LP models, conducting weekly planning meeting with business teams, creating lost opportunity reporting for business teams, and working with business teams on economic improvement items and Excellence-500 projects.

 


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • LP Models runs for 30/60/90 days plans for the fuels and specialty plants
  • Conducting weekly 30/60/90 planning meetings with plants
  • Long term LP strategic project runs, analysis and reporting
  • LP model structure changes; LP model improvements and integrity
  • LP Model data collection for plant yields, thru-puts, capacities, sales pricing, sales volumes, pricing tiers, feed volumes, feed cost and intercompany pricing and dispositions
  • ERP Data Extraction and Manipulation
  • Lost Opportunity summary collection and reporting
  • Economic improvement analysis; E-500 updates to database
  • Participate in Yearly Budget Process as well as 5 year plans
  • Ad-hoc duties to support the business


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applicable Study
  • 5+ years of experience in the fuels segment of the refining field


NECESSARY ATTRIBUTES

  • Problem Solver with analytical, detail oriented and organizational skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with individuals
  • Advanced proficiency in use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Access Database, and Linear Programing Applications.)
