We are seeking a Geological Consultant to join Upstream Professional Development Center (UPDC), under the Upstream Continuing Excellence Department.
The UPDC develops and delivers training to 9 major upstream job families utilizing a curriculum-based approach targeting all upstream professionals from new hires all the way to senior professionals. Upstream geologists support course content development and delivery of the UPDC programs as subject matter experts or instructors.
The UPDC is the focused technical training organization for Upstream Petroleum Engineering, Geology and Geophysics at Saudi Aramco. UPDC develops and delivers training in two areas, new professional hire development and career long training events. The program is supported by upstream management and strives to keep high quality professionals involved in the development of upstream professionals.
As a successful candidate, you should hold Bachelor's degree in Geology or related science. Graduate study in a specialized discipline of Geology, a related science or other extended special training.
You must have a minimum of 12 years' experience, including 7 years as a specialist in your discipline, any two of the following:
Sedimentology and Stratigraphy
Reservoir development and characterization
Petroleum System Analysis and Geochemistry.
You should have the desire to develop and deliver training with experience in both plus.
Duties & Responsibilities
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Assess training needs from the upstream line organizations.
Develop courses to meet training requirements.
Deliver some courses in the curriculum.
Select and obtain the best instructors possible for courses.
Refresh the curricula to keep up with new technology and company focus.
Work with training delivery and business units to complete a yearly course schedule and monitor line personnel through the curricula.
