Overview

Join the fantastic team at Pumpco Services! Our equipment operators work a 14/7 rotational schedule, are paid a competitive hourly rate, receive per diem, and have the option to stay in company-paid housing. We are looking for experienced frac operators that hold a CDL. We are hiring out of our Odessa, TX and Pleasanton, TX locations.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Pumpco
  • Ability to verbally communicate and understand details and directions
  • Responsible for the safe operation of assigned equipment on all locations
  • Must be proficient in operating assigned equipment. Typical equipment includes, but is not limited to: chemical add unit, frac pumps, aerial work platform, and chemical inventory
  • Ability to learn the disciplines of driving and rigging up and down equipment on location and assist during the rigging up and down of service lines and equipment at the well site
  • Takes direction from the Line Boss or Supervisor on required duties during rig-up and rig-down
  • Perform all Pre-job and Post-job maintenance duties on assigned equipment or as assigned by Supervisor
  • Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of assigned equipment and assist in other maintenance duties as needed
  • Accurately complete all Pre/Post trip reports for all equipment including properly maintaining driver DOT logs on a daily basis
  • Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations
  • Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

Competency Requirements: 

  • Reading comprehension and writing skills
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge
  • The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Must have and maintain an active telephone and the ability to be on 24 hour call
  • Understanding of Pumpco's Minimum Requirements (S.O.P's) as applicable to his/her job duties
  • H2S certification
  • Valid Class A driver's license and able to acquire HAZMAT
  • Current certification for all required HSEQ & DOT Compliance Training
  • Current Forklift, Aerial Platform, and Crane certification and other Qualifications/Certifications as Required
  • Must have completed all competencies from EO-I or industry equivalent
  • Successful completion of Frac Pump Operator training class
  • Competent in all aspects of Frac Pump operating procedures
  • Competent in all aspects of high-pressure iron components, rig-up and minimum requirements
  • Competent in all aspects of Chemical Additive Unit Operating procedures and chemical inventory

Physical Job Demands:

  • Ability to work a "24 hour on call" rotational schedule is required and maintain an active telephone
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule, including long and/or irregular hours and nights and weekends
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when applicable
  • Required to travel to job sites for a week or more at a time in a designated area.
  • Must have efficient eye-hand coordination. Must have good depth perception, peripheral vision, ability to see and differentiate colors, and a minimum
    of average hearing
  • Must be able to perform physical labor involved frequent lifting (over 50lbs.), carrying, bending, and shoveling
  • This job will require occasional bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, and reaching
  • Must be able to perform physical labor involving frequent lifting (over 50lbs.), carrying, bending, and shoveling
  • Job may include stand/walk 6 - 8 hrs., sitting 6 - 8 hrs., driving 1 - 4 hours
  • Work environment with chemicals, fumes/gasses, noxious odors, heights, noise, radiation, and exposure to weather conditions such as cold, rain/dampness, heat/humidity, and wind
  • Repetitive motions of simple grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, finger dexterity, foot movement
