Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of HES (Health Environment and Safety) International Field Specialist (Direct Hire Contractor) located in Makati City, Philippines through March 29, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

***Note that this is for 24-months employment period only

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide day to day office building Operational Excellence/ Health Environment and Safety (OE/HES) construction site, and project safety, including safety in design, legislative plan compliance, site safety, incident investigation, contractor safety pre-qualification assessments, Motor Vehicle Safety (MVS), Emergency Preparedness (EP), and safe work practices across CBRES (Chevron Business Real Estate Services) managed sites in region and on-site leadership to operations teams, project managers and functional support teams
  • Local custodian of CBRES OE processes
  • Liaison with local business partners (landlord and tenant organizations) and CBRES on-site team members on all operational excellence, health environment and safety, and emergency preparedness issues
  • Work with partner organization to find synergies and utilize appropriate OE HES opportunities to co-ordinate and streamline processes that cross organizational boundaries including supporting OE activities for customers as required
  • Keep updated on legislative and regulative building codes and industry best practices and shares across CBRES and partner organizations
  • Liaise with external networks to share industry safety standards both internally and externally
  • Supports Operation Excellence team and regional business on implementation of operational excellence processes and manages local skills databases to ensure fit for purpose training and skill sets
  • Participate in OE self- assessments, incident Investigations, and corporate OE reviews and audit
  • Develop and maintain expertise in a wide range of operational excellence, health environment and safety, and emergency preparedness related issues
  • Deliver Emergency Preparedness training to customers and CBRES team across Philippine sites

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health, Environment and Safety (HES) or Engineering
  • Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH)/Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) is required
  • Safety Certification on OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) is required
  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience emphasis on safety, health and environment
  • Experience in facility management and operations
  • Strong problem-solving skills, and analytical skills
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing business priorities and customer needs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Relocation Options:

  • Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters

International Considerations:

  • Selected candidates will work under the Philippines local payroll system and benefits.
