JOB DESCRIPTION

Inspect materials received and products manufactured for compliance with drawings and specifications under the guidelines of the Weatherford Manufacturing Quality Systems Manual and/or customer specifications.  Maintain quality records per the Weatherford Houma Manufacturing QSM and/or customer specifications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspection/Acceptance of parts received and manufactured under the requirements of the Weatherford Quality System Manual, special customer requirements, API-Q1, and ISO-9001.

Inspection during the production of composite raw material, machining parts, and assembly of finished frac plugs.

Pressure & shear testing of composite raw material.

Incoming inspection of purchased products.

Ensure that instruments and gauges being used are in good condition and in calibration.

Daily in-line inspection of all production operations.

Perform surface finish tests as required by the QSM, QPM, or DOP.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Perform miscellaneous product test as requested.

Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

The ability to calculate figures and convert fractions to decimals and vice-versa.

Good math skills.

Ability to read and interpret basic and advanced blueprints and charts.

Ability to use Inspection and measuring equipment micrometers, callipers and dial indicators.

Ability to effectively work with employees, supervisors, vendors and customers.

Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

Computer skills for Quality documentation and inspection information.

Prior inspection and/or product line experience.

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
