Qualifications
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• PE license a plus but not a must
• 7+ years of experience in the petrochemical industry with a strong background in Oil and Gas Production and Refining, Gas Compression and Transmission.
• Experience developing and approving pipe specifications.
• Experience in design, specification, application, and modification of rotating and fixed equipment, such as:
o Pressure vessels
o Heat exchangers
o Pumps
o Compressors
o Turbines
• Experience in:
o Equipment drawing review and approval
o P&ID development and review
o Material selection
o Piping layout
o Pipe Stress Analysis.
• Excellent working knowledge of ASME pressure vessel and piping codes and API standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of inter-discipline requirements
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills - Microsoft Applications (Word/Excel) and engineering software programs, such as CAEPIPE, COMPRESS, and FEA programs.
• Capable of some travel and remote site assignments.


Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed design of projects in compliance with governing codes, regulatory requirements and Client standards.
• Develop project scope definition for project proposals and awarded work.
• Estimating and scheduling
• Solve problems by using a combination of standard procedures, modification of standard procedures, or methods developed in previous assignments.
• Complete independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions.
• Give technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians
