Insure all goods and services that come into and out of the R&D facility are processed in a timely manner according to Weatherford standards.       


Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures and rates

Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications

Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, reject damaged items, records shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages counts and logs in in-coming material and freight.

Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment: Compare & identify information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

Distribute daily goods movement flow and submit to the customers.

Stock receivables as directed.

Prepare finished goods for shipment: wrapping, crating, etc.

Make and label boxes for outgoing shipments.

Ensure assembly labels on outgoing product correspond with work order number or purchase order

Maintain traceability of shipments and logs of shipments on a monthly basis.

Maintain freight forward supplier relationship and shop for cheaper rates where needed for hot shot transportations.

Mentor new shipping and receiving employees in all aspects of the job.

Use small hand tools and operate material handling equipment.

Keep the immediate work area and shipping area clean and orderly at all times.

Provide input on department procedures to have a better and more efficient process flow.

Open to learn and train, if needed, with other Weatherford shipping departments to better our logging procedure and to learn a better receiving system in JDE that will work at SRO.   

Organize and maintain the shop yard.  Housekeeping included in the shipping and receiving area. 

Trade Compliance - responsible for commercial invoice maintenance.  Upload corresponding codes, international broker, and logging and scanning documents into the server. 

Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.



Good verbal communication skills.

Ability to follow written or verbal instructions in English..

Basic operational knowledge of forklift and materials handling equipment.

General warehouse experience.

Basic computer skills

Team Player

Ability to make process improvement suggestions and/or participate on process improvement teams.

Requires 3-5 years experience in Logistics.

High School diploma / GED or equivalent experience level.

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.


Knowledge of spreadsheet programs and able to create reports.

Forklift and/or materials handling equipment certification.

Associates degree in business or logistics
