JOB DESCRIPTION

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be responsible for mechanical changes to the M/LWD tools operating LWD/MWD suite of measurement and logging tools and equipment including EMpulse, HyperPulse with GRG4 and UGR sensors, HEL with HAGR and PWD, sensors, Resistivity tools, Density and Neutron tool (including handling of RA sources) and sonic tools to ensure the correct operation at well site.  Be responsible for BHA (Bottom Hole Assembly) being assembled as per well/engineering plan.  Operate, inspect and maintain LWD  downhole tools at rig site.  Generate daily and Final Well reports on services performed.  Collaborate with DD/MWD/LWD team to ensure BHA specification and engineering optimization parameters are realized.  Be responsible for operation of LWD field surface software, rig up and rig down of equipment as well as operation and configuration of downhole LWD tools.  Train and mentor LWD field engineers with less experience.  Deliver high quality reports to the internal and external customers. Participate and analyze field incidents and provide feedback and opportunities for improvements to the M/LWD operations. Take rotations in the office to Coordinate or support M/LWD Activities and demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the environment.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and three years' experience as a M/LWD Lead Hand Engineer operating LWD/MWD suite of measurement and logging tools and equipment including EMpulse, HyperPulse with GRG4 and UGR sensors, HEL with HAGR and PWD, sensors, Resistivity tools, Density and Neutron tool (including handling of RA sources) and sonic tools.  Travel to Louisiana, Texas and various unanticipated worksites.
